Veganism, Methane and the End of the World As We Now Know It
A vegan or vegetarian diet can be a wonderful way of maintaining and restoring health as well as showing the world you care about the well being of animals who suffer at the hands of those who chose to eat them. We could even go along way to preventing global warming. But would there be a downside? One this is for sure. We would be living in a different world completely - and there would be a lot of very unhappy people.
Roasting Vegetables Made Easy
Vegetables are healthy and nutritious, but quite frankly often boring. There is a reason why children often need to be made to eat their vegetables, often under the threat of "You can't have any dessert if you don't finish your veggies" or similar. But vegetables can be delicious if done right.
Soy or No Soy - What Is Healthy for Me?
Soy and its various products have become popular in American diets and the diets of many people in the western countries. But research has indicated that all soy products are not created equal. Mango + Date Dip
There is something so satisfying about scooping up a massive glob of hummus on a just-barely-large-enough salted pita chip. Or how about dipping pretzel sticks into a pool of tangy, yellow Dijon. Or maybe some blue tortilla chips into killer guac.
Hey Honey, Be Careful What You Eat
Over the years, I've always put honey in my diet - I consider it a super food in fact. I have a few special recipes I use that include honey. Word has it that if you have allergies and you eat the local honey at the beginning of the season, you will become immune from the local pollen which affects those allergies. This is well known and it works very well.
2014 Food Revolution Summit: Credentialed Experts and Passionate Celebrities Call for Food Changes
The 2014 Food Revolution Summit, the brainchild of John Robbins, featured 24 interviews lasting about one hour each of recognized experts on healthy eating habits. In addition, the interviewees included a sprinkling of celebrities who are reasonably well informed about the American food production process and the role of factory farming and other mega-corporate practices on human health and the environment. All this was offered at no cost to anyone, though additional material, including transcripts of the interviews, were on offer for a modest price. An outstanding program, one likely to be repeated with variations on an annual basis for years to come.
